A New Tradition Emerges
2020 has been difficult for everyone and for many in our communities, it’s been downright cruel. But 2020 has also been a year of perseverance and a recalibration on what’s truly important: our loved ones; and finding happiness, gratitude, and joy in the simple moments we share together.
As this Thanksgiving Day progressed, pictures started trickling into our inboxes of what families had created together using their Fifth & Cherry cutting boards - and it was amazing to watch.
We truly believe that the kitchen is the center of all activity and 2020 has forced a lot of us back to our own kitchens. It’s where you carved your Thanksgiving turkey (some of you for the first time), and where you’ll make Christmas cookies in the coming weeks. Some of you are starting to teach your children how to cook or how to barbecue. You’re sharing laughter and tears, love, warmth, traditions, and most importantly: memories.
We are honored to be a part of your memories and our boards are designed to keep those memories alive forever.
The holidays will be different this year but we’ve witnessed a dedication to maintaining traditions whenever possible and flexibility to pivot when it’s not. You are making new traditions, finding creative ways to bring people together whether in person, digitally or in spirit. This resilience is inspiring and humbling. We are all coming to understand that the most precious commodity we have is time, and making memories is time well spent.
We hope that you have a wonderful holiday season, however it ends up taking shape. And if you’d like a Fifth & Cherry cutting board for your family, or would like to give one as a gift, we would appreciate your consideration.
